Wiggloo looks simple - grow your snake, don't crash - but the players who consistently top the leaderboard are playing a different game underneath. Here's what actually separates a short run from a long one.

The One Rule That Matters

Every collision in Wiggloo works the same way: if a snake's head touches another snake's body, the snake whose head made contact dies - not the other way around. That single rule is the entire game. It means you die if you run into someone else's trail, and it means you can eliminate someone else by getting them to run into yours.

The Cutoff: How Eliminations Actually Happen

Never chase another snake's head hoping to ram it - that just kills you. Instead, read where a rival is heading and swerve your own body into their path a beat before they arrive. If their head crosses your trail, they're gone, and every segment they were carrying scatters as food. This is the single highest-value skill in Wiggloo: good players aren't faster, they're better at reading an approach angle and cutting across it half a second early.

Boost Wisely

Double-tap to boost, and you'll burn through space fast - but boosting costs you length with every moment it's active, so it's not a "go faster" button, it's an emergency tool. Save it for two moments: closing the gap on a cutoff before a rival slips past, or escaping when you're boxed in by two or more trails. Boosting just to feel fast is how short runs happen - every segment you burn is a segment you can't use to out-length the next rival you cut off.

Playing the Long Game

Early in a run, prioritize eating over hunting - a short snake that gets cut off loses almost nothing, but a long snake that gets cut off hands a rival a huge pile of food. Once you're long enough that a cutoff actually matters to your score, that's when to start aggressively positioning against rivals instead of just grazing for food orbs.

Climbing the Leaderboard

Every run you finish submits your score, country, and elimination count to Wiggloo's live global leaderboard - so a good run counts even if you don't win the match itself. Filter the leaderboard by country to see how you stack up locally, or check the global list to see what the best runs anywhere look like. The single highest scorer holds the "Hill King" crown, shown right on the home screen until someone beats it.

Customize & Unlock

New skins, eye styles, and arena backgrounds unlock as you play, watch an optional ad, or share the game - all purely cosmetic, so nothing here affects how your snake actually plays. Mix and match combinations from the Customize menu to make your snake recognizable on the leaderboard.

Learn From Your Best Run

Wiggloo automatically saves a replay of your personal best run, which you can watch back from the home screen. Watching your own best run is the fastest way to spot what actually worked - which cutoffs landed, which boosts were wasted, and where a longer run could have survived the same situation.
